ae1d370e0d Imported 2.6.17 sid branch changelog. 
Added powerpc -prep flavour, since it is confirmed to build.
kept empty experimental1 changelog entry, even though it seems strange.

81dce6786e Cleaned up changelog entries and imported latest 2.6.17 entries from the sid branch. 
Enabled the -prep flavour again, since i confirmed that the config file works.

27ae53d618 - Remove x86_64-smp-alternatives.patch - included upstream 
- drop obsolete configure options for amd64 - this needs to be checked 
  on every other architecture too. 
  If I removed an option needed for any other architecture, this needs 
  to be added to the corresponding arch/<arch>/config instead of the 
  global one.

f3a4b5f44d * [ia64] Drop the non-SMP flavours; they are not well maintained upstream. 
Note that the non-SMP flavours have been identical to the SMP builds
  since 2.6.13-1; this was to avoid having to drop then re-add these
  flavours if upstream resolved the issue - but that never happened.
  Note that this is a measurable performance penalty on non-SMP systems.
