Some architectures (such as MIPS) need libatomic from gcc-runtime to perform
atomic operations, so this package should be included in all SDKs.

As was discussed in the commit which adds iw:
iw uses cfg80211/nl80211, which is the way of the future. wireless-tools uses
WEXT, which uses ioctl, which is in deep maintenance mode. See
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/developers/Documentation/Wireless-Extensions.
Also https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/Documentation/iw indicates "The
old tool iwconfing, which uses Wireless Extensions interface, is deprecated
and it's strongly recommended to switch to iw and nl80211."
wireless-tools is kept as well for now for compatibility reasons, until we
have verified that all the network configuration mechanisms are using iw.
This adds VIRTUAL-RUNTIME_wireless-tools as a distro convenience.

Remove qemuwrapper-cross from RDEPENDS, install a cross pkg in sysroots
isn't useful, if we really need run qemuwrapper in SDK, we should add it
as nativesdk, and it has multilib conflicts when populate_ sdk:

There is no point in overriding TRANSLATED_TARGET_ARCH in
packagegroups-cross-canadian recipe. The cross-canadian class sets the
PACKAGE_ARCH variable, thus allarch class (inherited through
packagegroup class) doesn't change variables.

Gamin hasn't been required for many years now, maintenance upstream stopped in
2008 and the addition of inotify to the kernel made it redundant.
Remove the recipe from oe-core, and references to it in pacakgegroup-core-lsb
(LSB doesn't require gamin) and packagegroup-self-hosted.

Rather than just use d.getVar(X), use the more explict d.getVar(X, False)
since at some point in the future, having the default of expansion would
be nice. This is the first step towards that.
This patch was mostly made using the command:
sed -e 's:\(getVar([^,()]*\)\s*):\1, False):g' -i `grep -ril getVar *`

Oprofile functions duplicate perf. Since perf is easier to use drop oprofile
from the core-tools-profile package.
Also, the oprofile-ui package opens a port on the device. removing this
package reduces a possible security issue for devices with profiling tools.

distcc has been used in the past to speed up native compile across
several machines. This is less an issue on modern embedded systems.
Also, improvements in sdk generation have reduced the need for on target
compile of large projects.
Since the distcc packages start a daemon at boot, drop it from the
packagegroup to avoid having some slight runtime impact on systems
installing an sdk.

In certain system configurations TRANSLATED_TARGET_ARCH will not
expand in the right order for gcc-cross-candian-mips64n32 to be
generated properly.
This will cause SDKs to fail to generate properly.
Changing the global definition of TRANSLATED_TARGET_ARCH always
expands the ABIEXTENSION, which causes the OVERRIDES to pick it up
as well. This effectively defines a new class of overrides for the 'n32'.
The side effect is that we need to duplicate some mips64 overrides, and
redefine others that were previously 'n32' or 'mips64' exclusive to have
the correct semantics.

"buildtools-tarball: package all of Python", we do the same here
for packagegroup-self-hosted.
The switch to the fetcher where it added BeautifulSoup revealed
a shortcoming in the python packaged for the self hosting (missing
htmlentitydefs). Here we fix it in the same way as what was done
for buildtools-tarball and include python-modules vs. all the
individual little chunks.

re-enable ARM builds) lttng-modules is fine for ARM now. Without this
additional change, tools-profile won't bring in lttng-modules when

xdg-utils # A set of common interfaces for desktop
leafpad # A GTK+ text editor used in Build Appliance
midori # A web browser used in Build Appliance
pcmanfm # PCManFm file manager used in Build Appliance
vte # Virtual terminal emulator GTK+ widget library
Move them to packagegroup-self-hosted-graphics so that we can make
a graphics free self-hosted image by excluding the
packagegroup-self-hosted-graphics.

If we are building a systemd image with 'sysvinit' not in DISTRO_FEATURES,
the initscripts should not be installed into the image, as they are useless.
What's more, we as now support executing scripts under /etc/rcS.d, the
boot time will be increased by these scripts as the systemd will try to
translate them into temporary service files.
These init scritps are actually needed only when 'sysvinit' is in
DISTRO_FEATURES.

Some postinstall scripts use the qemuwrapper script, so to be able to
offline install these packages outside of the bitbake environment, this script
needs to be exposed also in the SDK.

Other recipes dependencies and even some comments need to be updated
for the removal of unfs-server and the replacement with unfs3. The
unfs3 is a complete drop in replacement providing all the prior
functionality of NFSv2 but also adding NFSv3.

some time ago. These two are leftovers and can be safely removed.

A lot of our recipes had short one-line DESCRIPTION values and no
SUMMARY value set. In this case it's much better to just set SUMMARY
since DESCRIPTION is defaulted from SUMMARY anyway and then the SUMMARY
is at least useful. I also took the opportunity to fix up a lot of the
new SUMMARY values, making them concisely explain the function of the
recipe / package where possible.
