Add NO_RECOMMENDATIONS support. A way to disable all recommended
packages from being installed. This will help shrink the size of
the resulting filesystem.
Add documentation on NO_RECOMMENDATIONS and BAD_RECOMMENDATIONS.
Note, using NO_RECOMMENDATIONS has side effects such that kernel-modules may
not have been installed. A user will need to manually add to their image
any kernel-modules required to be on the image for functionality.

Add support for the BAD_RECOMMENDATIONS variable that can be used to
prevent specific packages from being installed via an RRECOMMENDS
relationship when using the RPM backend. (Previously this
functionality was only available when using ipk packaging.)
In the process this moves the defaulting of BAD_RECOMMENDATIONS (as
empty) to bitbake.conf since it is no longer specific to the ipk
backend, as well as unifying some of the code that creates the
configuration for smart for use on the host and target.

Add STAMPS_DIR for constructing STAMP, the defination of STAMP is:
STAMP = "${TMPDIR}/stamps/${MULTIMACH_TARGET_SYS}/${PN}/${EXTENDPE}${PV}-${PR}"
We can only change the TMPDIR if we want to change the STAMP's location,
but the bb_cache.dat would be regenerated if TMPDIR changes, so add
STAMPS_DIR for constructing it, and add it to the BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE,
this is very usefull for the "bitbake -S", since then it can be run by:
STAMPS_DIR=<path> bitbake -S <recipe>
which will avoid putting the stamps to ${TMPDIR}/stamps.
BTW, break the too long BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE into several lines.

Backfilling DISTRO_FEATURES and MACHINE_FEATURES with _append statements happens
too late to use those variables with conditional inherits, like this:
inherit ${@base_contains('DISTRO_FEATURES','sysvinit','update-rc.d_real','',d)}
Instead, do the backfilling at ConfigParse time so that it happens earlier in
the parse, which results in that inherit behaving as expected when sysvinit was
backfilled.

There are several overrides that don't make sense as part of FILESPATH. This
introduces FILESOVERRIDES and allows us to drop some of the pointless ones,
simplifying the files search path further and improving the user experience.
If needed by specific recipes, other overrides can be added back in for
specific cases.

The build summary is meant to reflect key configuration variables. Information
about the build system we're running on is important but currently missing
from the information displayed.
Printing TARGET_SYS removes the need to print TARGET_OS and TARGET_ARCH
and we add BUILD_SYS and NATIVELSBSTRING to show information about the
build system.

This means some of the hacks we have to tell where the package name ends and
the version starts in the directory layout becomes obsolete, simplifying the
work of some of the cleanup scripts. It also makes the layout slightly more
intuitive to the user.
It does force a rebuild onto the user but it will reuse sstate successfully.

As we move to systemd, udev is not provided by systemd where the arch
independent files are stored in /lib and /usr/lib and not in
${base_libdir} and ${libdir} which means the files like udev rules
go into /lib/udev or /usr/lib/udev. This patch adds these paths
to be packaged into default ${PN} output package from a recipe

systemd_unitdir indicates the arch independent
files which are basically scripts and unit files
and systemd wants then to be in /lib always even
when base_libdir is /lib64, hence we have to reflect
that and not use base_libdir to define it. Otherwise
on architectures where base_libdir is lib64 e.g. ppc64
or multilibbed x86_64 this wont work

In order to be more compliant with the Filesystem Hierarchs
Standard (FHS), this change removes the /usr/libexec default
in favor of ${libdir}/${BPN} (which is typically /usr/lib).

The update-modules mechanism is something of a historical relic and it isn't
entirely clear that it has a great deal of value nowadays. Also, it causes a
problem when building a read-only rootfs since update-modules itself refuses
to configure offline.
Allow DISTROs to circumvent this whole thing by declaring (via DISTRO_FEATURES)
that they don't wish to use update-modules. This is backfilled for existing
distributions and will have to be marked as CONSIDERED by those who actually
don't want it.

This avoids the hardcoding of ${libdir}/locale which is all over the place,
and will facilitate use of ${exec_prefix}/lib/locale instead of
${libdir}/locale.
This doesn't actually change any output at this time. Verified this with
buildhistory against the packages produced from core-image-base.

The globs used for STAMPCLEAN were too greedy matching gcc-cross-initial
stamps for gcc-cross for example. This patch resolves that problem making
the assumption that PV starts with something numeric. This assumption
should hold in most cases and has a better failure case that the current
situation.

Currently, SRCPV is just listed as having a value of ${@bb.fetch2.get_srcrev(d)}
which isn't helpful. This can mean that if PV changes, two recipes can have the
same sstate checksum despite having different PV values since the PV value itself
isn't tracked anywhere.
Adding this line means that the real PV value is expanded and recorded in the sstate
checksum, meaning the sstate packages no longer overlap. This is critical in ensuring
consistent builds for revipes using SRCPV.

As discussed on the mailing lists, using a suffix to package names is
hard and has lead to many recipes having to do PKGSUFFIX games. Its
looking extremely hard to scale nativesdk much further without hacking
many recipes.
By comparison, using a prefix like multilib does works much better and
doesn't involve "hacking" as many recipes. This change converts nativesdk
to use a prefix using the existing multilib infrastructure.

BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE is set by the bitbake wrapper script but not by
bitbake-layers, and thus it was affecting the data hash and thus
invalidating the cache. Any variables passed through from the
environment by being added to this variable should themselves
influence the hash already if they are not already excluded from,
the data hash, so BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE can be excluded.
Similarly, DISABLE_SANITY_CHECKS is set by the hob script in order to
have sanity checks run later, but not set by the bitbake wrapper script.
It doesn't actually affect the build itself and so its value can also
be excluded from the data hash.
These changes prevent unnecessary reparsing between executions of
bitbake, bitbake-layers, and the initial pseudo build within the hob
script.

We use -mtune flags which lets our application have
SPE intruction in them which is a good thing but when
running qemu especially in user mode these application
wont work with default powerpc emulation. Therefore we
have to add proper -cpu option to let qemu emulate for
a given cpu.

Many recipes are now having to define PERLPATH and PYTHONPATH variables.
Creating USRBINPATH in bitbake.conf means we can remove all these lines
from the many recipes now needing this and simplify the code changes
needed in each case, reducing the chance of errors being introduced.
Also fixup glib python binary location issue and fix function indentation.

Originally, git was something new, not installed everywhere and had commandline
stability problems. This has changed and git it no longer makes sense to
continually build this when the system installed version is likely sufficient.
This speeds up build since recipes no longer have to wait for git-native to build
if they're fetched from a git:// SRC_URI.
Also add git to the sanity checks and drop the no unneeded svn reference.

Add the kernel headers to the kernel-dev package. This packages what was
already built and kept in sysroots for building modules with bitbake.
Making this available on the target requires removing some additional
host binaries.
Move the location to /usr/src/kernel
Before use on the target, the user will need to:
# cd /usr/src/kernel
# make scripts
This renders the kernel-misc recipe empty, so remove it.
As we use /usr/src/kernel in several places (and I missed one in the
previous version), add a KERNEL_SRC_DIR variable and use that throughout
the class to avoid update errors in the future.
Now that we package the kernel headers, drop the
kernel_package_preprocess function which removed them from PKGD.
All *-sdk image recipes include dev-pkgs, so the kernel-dev package will
be installed by default on all such images.

This enables a switch to subversion 1.7 now bitbake is able to cope with
upgrading existing working copies. The impact of this change should be
minimal since we don't have many subversion recipes now.

USE_NLS is generally defined for uclibc based system builds
and generally its defined to 'no' there. However this variable
does not exist at all for eglibc/glibc distributions. This
patch adds a weak definition to 'yes' on eglibc based system
builds. This will ease out some of the cryptic contructs we
have to define certain options based on USE_NLS and also
checking got uclibc at the same time to avoid pythong exceptions
when its not defined.

The autogen-native built error on FC17:
ccache: failed to create /dev/null/.ccache
This is because the default gcc command of FC17 is a symlink to ccache,
so the ccache will always be used regardless to the setting of CCACHE,
ccache uses $HOME/.ccache as the CACHE_DIR by default, but autogen set
HOME=/dev/null, so the error happens.
Disable ccache explicitly if it is not enabled would fix the problem,
otherwise it would always use ccache regardless to the setting of CCACHE
on Fedora 17.
The ccache 3.1.7 has a bug, it would always create $CCCHE_DIR/.ccache
even CCACHE_DISABLE=1.
Unset CCACHE_DISABLE in ccache.bbclass, since ccache only checks whether
there is a CCACHE_DISABLE in the environment or not, it doesn't care about
its value, so we need unset it explicitly when enable ccache.

This switches to use the hash based signature generatior and update
layout_abi to match stamp file layout changes.
Angstrom and Poky did this a while ago. This brings the OE-Core defaults
into line with what is the best common practise at this point. Its been
discussed on the mailing lists and by the TSC at length, this just completes
the transition.

The bitbake wrapper script is set up such that the -p (--parse-only)
command line option is not executed under pseudo, and it sets the
PSEUDO_BUILD variable to indicate whether or not pseudo is being used.
Since PSEUDO_BUILD is allowed through into the environment via
BB_ENV_EXTRAWHITE it influences the data hash and thus if you run
"bitbake -p" and then run bitbake again to actually build something, the
change to PSEUDO_BUILD causes the cache from the -p execution not to be
used. This is fixed simply by adding PSEUDO_BUILD to
BB_HASHCONFIG_WHITELIST in bitbake.conf so that it doesn't influence the
data hash.

Set BB_SIGNATURE_EXCLUDE_FLAGS, which is used by the new varflag
checksum code in BitBake. The list is intended to cut out most of the
varflags that are generated internally, don't influence the output or
are already included in the checksum in some way. If need be this list
can be extended in the future. The existing vardepsexclude mechanism
can also be used to exclude undesired varflags, but they must be fully
specified, e.g.:
do_patch[vardepsexclude] += "do_patch[someflag]"

We want the help2man script in scripts/ to be found in preference to any from
the host system and from the native sysroot. It turns out to be tricky to
get the order right from layer.conf so we move the addition of the scripts
directory to bitbake.conf.
Without this, "bitbake libtasn1 -c cleansstate; bitbake help2man-native; bitbake libtasn1"
will fail due to finding the host system help2man before ours.

Currently, ccache is used if it is present. When building from scratch it gives
no performance improvement and creates a ton of empty directories even when its
not in use.
This change moves ccache support to a bbclass file which the user can choose to
enable. This should make builds more determinstic and make it easier/clearer
to the end user when its being used and when it is not.

The wget default is a 900 second timeout and 20 retries. This is way too long
for most of our usecases so this patch changes it to a 30 second timeout and
reduces retries from 5 to 2. We have good mirror infrastructure, this will
let us fall back to it easier.

The location of the ccache should not affect the sum in the sstate
files.
The end user should be free to use an external ccache via defining
CCACHE_DIR to a new value in local.conf or using the default per
package local ccache in the temp directory.

We have currently no override to detect a recipe being build cross, crosssdk
or for target at times we can use virtclass-native and virtclass-nativesdk to
override stuff in recipes but we dont have way to modify a variables
based on recipe type always.
This patch adds in such an override and in particular makes a target override
class available.
With this change now we can say:
EXTRA_OECONF_class-target = "...."
EXTRA_OECONF_class-native = "..."
EXTRA_OECONF_class-nativesdk = "..."
EXTRA_OECONF_class-crosssdk= "..."

The value of PARALLEL_MAKE shouldn't affect sstate checksums. In general it
doesn't as the value is injected as a task override and the sstate checksum
doesn't track these. That isn't the case for linux-yocto in particular so
adding it the list of variables to ignore is useful.

Add a new README that covers the basic items used with various cpu
tunings. The goal is to better help people understand the various
settings and where things should or should not be defined.
Corresponding architecture README files will also be generated to
explain the particulars of architectural tunings.
Also remove the default TUNE_PKGARCH setting in bitbake.conf. This
was done to ensure an error occurs if an invalid tuning is defined.

If DISTRO is not set, FILESPATH becomes littered with directories like
files/${DISTRO} etc. It won't bomb until you try to eval it - i.e.
manipulating FILESPATH directly with .= works fine, but calling e.g.
base_set_filespath() throws this:
ERROR: Failure expanding variable FILESPATH, expression was ${@blah} which
triggered exception SyntaxError: EOL while scanning string literal (FILESPATH,
line 1)

Add a pulseaudio DISTRO_FEATURES item and disable pulseaudio support in
phonon within Qt4 if it is not present; otherwise it is a race condition
as to whether it is enabled or disabled or breaks the build.
Note that this adds pulseaudio to DISTRO_FEATURES_BACKFILL thus leaving
existing distro configurations unaffected.

When introducing new items to DISTRO_FEATURES that control functionality
that is already enabled, in order to leave existing distro configuration
unchanged we need a way to "backfill" these new feature items onto the
existing DISTRO_FEATURES value.
This introduces a DISTRO_FEATURES_BACKFILL variable whose items will be
added to the end of DISTRO_FEATURES, unless they also appear in
DISTRO_FEATURES_BACKFILL_CONSIDERED which distros can use in their
configuration to prevent specific items from being added.

This signature generator will allow easier customisation of which task
dependencies get included in the signatures using the code in
lib/oe/sstatesig.py. Compared the the regexp, this function is much
easier to understand and customise.

Use the -nv instead of -q command line option for wget so that if
fetching from a URL that the wget fetcher handles (e.g. http) fails, we
get a possibly useful error message (but it still remains relatively
quiet when the fetch succeeds.)

the change in PR service by adding PACKAGE_ARCH into the query tuple.
- Added prexport.bbclass, primport.bbclass to export/import AUTOPR
values from/to PRService.
- Move PR service related common code to lib/oe/prservice.py.
- Supported reading the AUTOPR values from the exported .inc file
instead of reading it from remote PR service.
- Created a new script bitbake-prserv-tool to export/import the AUTOPR
values from/to the PR service.
Typical usage scenario of the export/import is:
1. bitbake-prserv-tool export <file> to export the AUTOPR values from
the current PR service into an exported .inc file.
2. Others may use that exported .inc file(to be included in the
local.conf) to lockdown and reproduce the same AUTOPR when generating
package feeds.
3. Others may "bitbake-prserv-tool import <file>" to import the AUTOPR
values into their own PR service and the AUTOPR values will be
incremented from there.

Initramfs images don't benefit from usual IMAGE_FSTYPES overrides. The
only sane values for them are "cpio.XXX". If IMAGE_FSTYPES is set to
include 'live', building core-image-minimal-initramfs can result in
build error, if the image is built before the kernel. To stop initramfs
images from responding on IMAGE_FSTYPES settings, but still allow
users/developers to override defaults (e.g. to generate "cpio.lzma"
initramfs), introduce INITRAMFS_FSTYPES variable, by default set to
"cpio.gz".

We need pseudo to use the rootfs passwd/group files belonging to the
rootfs when building images. This patch ensures that we use the rootfs

The value of baselib can be constructed in several different ways
and from a sstate perspective we don't care how it was made up,
we only care what the final value is. This uses the new functionality
in bitbake to ensure we only include the value of baselib and not
any intermediate dependencies.

The console log is often helpful for debugging issues. Difficult to
reproduce bugs would benefit from a log being generated by default as it
may be difficult to come by after the fact.
Log to ${TMPDIR}/cooker.log.${DATETIME} by default.

dpkg-native's update-alternatives is broken for offline work so
don't install it.
Also list update-alternatives in the multiprovider whitelist to
avoid unwanted multiple provider warnings when multiple package
backends are enabled.

Since the packaging process is run under pseudo, the default user
is now root so there is no longer any need to hardcode this. Also

Most piece of software now support parallel make install. Enable
this by default using the value of PARALLEL_MAKE. In a similar way
to PARALLEL_MAKE we can disable this for broken recipes with:

LINKER_HASH_STYLE in OE is set to either 'sysv' or 'gnu'
depending upon processor architecture e.g. mips does not support
gnu hash style so is uses sysv
besides 'sysv' and 'gnu' third option is to set it to 'both' we do
not do that by default but user can still set it

Currently if I build packages for several targets (e.g. for armv5te tosa
and for armv7a beagleboard) oe will use single ccache dir for both of
those targets: build/ccache/arm-oe-linux-gnueabi. However those targets
use different opcodes, different features and binaries created for one
of those targets wont't run on the lower one. So use MULTIMACH_HOST_SYS
for ccache dir, so that it uses something like
build/ccache/armv5te-oe-linux-gnueabi dir.

If we don't do this, sometimes pseudo can end up enabling itself when

crosssdk.bbclass uses ${includedir_nativesdk} to define target_includedir,
but includedir_nativesdk is not defined before. This makes gcc-crosssdk

Add SDK_PACKAGE_ARCHS to avoid the sed operations we were previously doing
inside of the variouns populate_sdk functions and related items.
Also add documentation to populate_sdk to explain when the various functions
are expected to be doing.
Finally fix a bug in populate_sdk_rpm where the wrong value was being set,
noticed while working on this change.

Because of the way BitBake handles ??= under certain circumstances, this
default setting ends up stepping all over the real setting from the arch
include file. Since virtually all arch include files or tune files define
a real value for this we shouldn't need to have a default (or it needs to
be done in a different way).

This patch adds the core multilib class which can be used along with a
parameter specifying the mutlilib to use in BBCLASSEXTEND.
The MLPREFIX variable is added and can be used in cases where its too
difficult to dynmaically work out where a mutltilib prefix is needed
to be added to a variable.
This includes:
* SHLIBSDIR and PACKAGE_ARCH fixes from Lianhao Lu.
* PACKAGE_DYNAMIC mapping from Yu Ke
* PACKAGE_INSTALL mapping from Yu Ke
* RPROVIDES mapping from Yu Ke

These changes revolve around the idea of tune features. These are represented by
'flag' strings that are included in the TUNE_FEATURES variable.
Any string included in TUNE_FEATURES should also add a TUNEVALID[<name>] entry so
we can know which flags are available in TUNE_FEATURES and have documentation about
what the flags do. We will add sanity code to error if flags are listed in
TUNE_FEATURES but are not documented in TUNEVALID.
A given tune configuration will want to define one or more predetermined sets of
_FEATURE flag lists. These are defined in the form TUNE_FEATURES_tune-<name>.
For defined tune configuation, <name> should be added to the AVAILTUNE list so that
we can determine what tune configurations are available. Flags cannot be used in this
case as with TUNEVALID since its useful to be able to build up tune lists from other
TUNE_FEATURES_tune-yyy options.
A given tune configuration may also define PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHS_tune-<name> and
BASE_LIB_tune-<name> to control the multilib location. All options can be overridden
by the distro or local user configuration.

This patch removes the variables BASE_PACKAGE_ARCH, BASEPKG_HOST_SYS,
BASEPKG_TARGET_SYS and also removes the immediate assignments in
several core classes as these are no longer required.
This should make it clearer what some of the core variables do and
simplfy some overly complex and confusing class code.

Since we're updating the tune file format, it makes sense to abstract
the compiler tune arguments at this point too. This means that should
these need to be overridden at any point, the original values can
still be obtained in a similar manner to the other TUNE* variables.
Whilst this isn't strictly necessary for any current need, its likely
good practise to standardise this behaviour.

There is currently consideradble confusion over how the tune files operate
and how these interact with the rest of the build system. This update/overhaul
changes things so the tune files are primarily resonsible for setting:
TUNE_ARCH - What was formerly set as TARGET_ARCH and is the value that
represents the architecture we're targetting.
TUNE_PKGARCH - The value that represents the tune confuration that this set
of tune parameters results in.
This allows the significant improvement that the core can now always determine
the target architecture value, even when TARGET_ARCH needs to be reset to
something different and likewise, there is one package architecture variable
the core can reference allowing simplification of the BASE_PACKAGE_ARCH, PACKAGE_ARCH
and FEED_ARCH variables.

Add the ability to dynamically change the library directory from "lib" to
other values. This allows the tune files to specifiy altnerative ABIs
which can be dynamically enabled by the multilib BBCLASSEXTEND code.
A variety of approaches have been attempted with this, the immediate
expansions in cross.bbclass being problematic as they are they are expanded
before the bbclass extend event hander runs. This approach ensures the
${baselib} variable is retained in the expressions resolving that complication.

In the current situation TARGET_ARCH will override MACHINE, which is counter intuitive since the machine is more specific than the arch.
The order is now pn-$PN} -> arch -> machine -> distro as the machine is a set of defaults and the distro is the ultimate policy.
'failfast' has been removed since it's not used anymore, just like 'local'

USE_PR_SERV: flag of whether to use the network PR service
PRAUTOINX: search index for the network PR service
PKGE/PKGV/PKGR: epoch, version and revision used in package feed.
EXTENDPKGV: full package version string used in package relationships.
For the following recipes, replace EXTENDPV with EXTENDPKGV:
udev, xcb, xorg-proto, util-macros and linux-libc-headers
then removed the unused EXTENDPV and EXTENDPEVER variables
Users should use EXTENDPKGV instead for package feed generation.

This address 2 needs after the IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE is cleaned up, by
removing the _ext2/3 overrides it allows for a cleaner override
using IMAGE_ROOTFS_SIZE to create a large rootfs, or by setting the
IMAGE_ROOTFS_EXTRA_SPACE, will allow for extra space allocated in Kilobytes
above the base size (determined by du of the rootfs * IMAGE_OVERHEAD_FACTOR,
default of 1.3).

This basic cleanup removes the _ext2/3 overrides from places they
no longer belong since they did not allow further overrides. In doing
this the core-image-minimal* recipes can now set a reasonably small
rootfs so that it's a realistic size for minimal.
The new default for minimal is 8M and will be adujsted upward by the
IMAGE_OVERHEAD_FACTOR (default of 1.3).
This also fixes the ROOTFS_SIZE usage in the IMAGE_CMD_<fstype> code

By defualt it points to $MACHINE but sometimes its desired
to have more than one overrides stemming out of a machine
then they can be added to MACHINEOVERRIDES.
e.g. MACHINEOVERRIDES = "${MACHINE}:nslu2"
Note that if you redefine MACHINEOVERRIDES then default
override for machine has to be added to it explicitly
otherwise it will get lost.

Some recipes do not defined EXTRA_OECONF in such cases += drops
the --enable|--disable-nls options. In another case where recipe
defines EXTRA_OECONF instead of adding/appending to it then
--enable|--disable-nls options are lost from EXTRA_OECONF
We define EXTRA_OECONF = "" in bitbake.conf so the variable exists
always.
We use _append instead of += so the option is added at very end
and not lost.
We only return empty gettext dependencies if its a target recipe
in case when USE_NLS is not set because the native/cross/nativesdk recipes still
need the gettext dependencies

Image generation code in .conf files is hard to read as it needs to be
single line. By moving this to a separate class, multiline functions
can be used instead improving readability. It also declutters
bitbake.conf.
There is no real functional change with this patch but it highlights
the need for improvements in places such as the IMAGE_EXTRA_OPTION
ext* specific variable which makes no sense.

-fexpensive-optimizations is enabled by default at -O2
-fomit-frame-pointer is enabled at -O2 selectively by gcc depending upon
architecture if debug info is not hurt
-frename-registers - This might have some performance advantage on top
of O2 on architectures which have more registers and registers are left
after scheduling but it affects debuggability quite a bit so as a i
tradeoff we do not use it.
-feliminate-dwarf2-dups - We use this option to reduce the size of debug
information by removing duplicates this is only valid for dwarf2+ and we
use dwarf2 by default
-pipe uses buffers instead of temporary files internally it can speed
up compilation it has has issues with other assemblers but not
with GNU assembler and we use gas.
Separate out debug information related flags into a separate variable
DEBUG_FLAGS so distros can use/notuse them as they like

There is a problem with the current PACKAGE_EXTRA_ARCHS implementation
since its impossible to control which extra architectures sort higher
than TARGET_ARCH and which sort lower. In the x86 case for example,
TARGET_ARCH might be "i586", i486 should be lower than this and i686 should
be higher. There are also complications where its easy to inject duplicate
entries into the variable.
I tried various versions of this patch and concluded that it was simplest
just to force the tune files to include TARGET_ARCH in the list in the
right place if they're planning to customise it themselves. Other approaches
with appends and prepends just complicated the code for no good reason.
The TARGET_ARCH definitions should also move to the tune files but I'll
leave this for a separate patch.

We now support two styles of debug information generation, the '.debug' style,
which is the same as previously implemented. This style simply splits the
debug information and makes it available in the same general directory.
/bin/foo -> /bin/.debug/foo
The new 'debug-file-directory' style splits the debug information and places
it into the single debug-file-directory, /usr/lib/debug:
/bin/foo -> /usr/lib/debug/bin/foo.debug
Both also find and copy all referenced source code to a new /usr/src/debug
directory. This allows the -dbg files to be used for stand-a-lone debugging
on or off the target device.
File stripping is now handled as a seperate operation from file splitting.
This allows us to split the debug information, but also leave it in the
original file -- or prevent the debug information from being split.
Also enhance the comments within local.conf.sample to provide a better
understanding of the control the user has over debug file generation.

It was using a '/' in a name variable, subtly breaking things like this:
populate_sdk.bbclass:
mkdir -p ${SDK_DEPLOY}
cd ${SDK_OUTPUT}
tar --owner=root --group=root -cj --file=${SDK_DEPLOY}/${TOOLCHAIN_OUTPUTNAME}.tar.bz2 .
Tar will error out since SDK_DEPLOY/DISTRO/ doesn't exist. Change the default to be more like the one from poky.conf, without the poky specific POKYLIBC.

A new default SUMMARY and DESCRIPTION was defined for any package that
previously did not contain one. This value is based on the original
SUMMARY_${PN} value.
The new default SUMMARY and DESCRIPTION is used as a basis for all of
the automatic summary and descriptions for the various package splits,
include ${PN}, ${PN}-dbg, ${PN}-dev, ${PN}-doc, and locales.
A recipe may also override any of the automatic summaries by simply
specifying the value.

The definition of NM was missing, causing certain configure calls to revert
to using the host system's version of NM. This can cause problems on some
MIPS based targets, but is theoretically wrong everywhere.

This commit changes the sysroots path to be machine specific.
Changes includes:
1) STAGING_DIR_TARGET and STRAGING_DIR_HOST points to machine specific
paths.
2) task stamp files. Adding ${MACHINE} info into stamp files for
do_populate_sysroots and do_package tasks. Add a BB_STAMPTASK_BLACKLIST
to keep native, nativesdk, crosssdk, and cross-canadian stamp unchanged.
3) siteconfig path. Separate the site config path for different machines
to avoid one machine adopting the cache file of another machine.
4) sstate. Add machine name to sstate manifest file.
Change relocation code for sstate paths since sysroot is machine.
Keep native, nativesdk, crosssdk, and cross-canadian unchanged.
5) toolchain scripts. Change the environment path to point to machine
specific sysroots in toolchain scripts bbclass.
6) Relocate la files when populating to a different machine of the same
architecture.
7) Exclude STAGING_DIR_TARGET and STAGING_DIR_HOST parameter from sstate
siginfo since they contain ${MACHINE} information.

Original we used absolute path in sysroot-destdir for both native and
target recipes. This commit changes target recipes to use relative path
which is same as the image directory.

PACKAGE_ARCHS represents all compatible architectures for a given machine.
It makes no sense for this variable to change any task checksums as it doesn't
inject any machine dependency into any known task. Multimachine means machine
specific packages will be detected through other variables.
Before this patch, even native packaging tasks were ending up being marked as
machine specific.

Current fetcher has annoying "SRCREVINACTION" deadlock,
which occurs when SRCREV=${AUTOREV}=@bb.fetch.get_srcrev():
get_srcrev()->setup_localpath()->srcrev_internal_helper()
->evaluate SRCREV->get_srcrev()
current fetcher resolve the deadlock by introducing a
"SRCREVINACTION" condition check. Althoguh it works, it is
indeed not clean.
This patch use antoehr idea to break the deadlock: break
the dependency among SRCREV and get_srcrev(), i.e. assign
a specific keyword "AUTOINC" to AUTOREV. when Fetcher meet
this keyword, it will check and set the latest revision to
urldata.revision. get_srcrev later can use the urldata.revision
for value evaluation(SRCPV etc). In this case, SRCREV no longer
depends on get_srcrev, and there is not deadlock anymore.
