Ross Burton 30ba663e35 qemu: remove explicit but redundant native build dependencies
qemu-native was optionally depending on libxext-native if the DISTRO_FEATURES

qemu-native.

As the dependency isn't required anymore, remove it.

It is possible for a Node.js module to have node_modules subdirectories
that contain no package.json file (e.g. iotivity-node has such a
directory). It appears these should simply be ignored, or else with the
way the current code works we will get errors later.

Denys Dmytriyenko de7562620e arch-armv7ve: inherit armv7a tunes file
armv7a is a subset of armv7ve:
https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/ARM-Options.html

-march=armv7ve is the armv7-a architecture with virtualization extensions.

By inheriting armv7a from armv7ve it's possible for e.g. Cortex-A15 machines
to include tune-cortexa15.inc and have a full range of optimizations, but
set DEFAULTTUNE as "armv7a" to produce binaries compatible with Cortex-A8
machines, etc.

Yannick Gicquel f088e693b2 kernel: fitimage: basic support for fitimage signature
This is an initial support of fitImage signature to enable U-Boot verified
boot. This feature is implemented by adding a signature tag to the
configuration section of the generated fit-image.its file.

When a UBOOT_SIGN_ENABLE variable is set to "1", the signature procedure is
activated and performs a second call to mkimage to sign the fitImage file and
to include the public key in the deployed U-Boot device tree blob. (This
implementation depends on the use of CONFIG_OF_SEPARATE in U-Boot.)

As the U-Boot device tree blob is appended in the deploy dir, a dependency
on 'u-boot:do_deploy' is added when the feature is activated.

Yannick Gicquel d8ae39687a u-boot: basic support of dtb append for verified boot
This introduces a new uboot-sign.class to support U-Boot verified boot.

This part delivers the new class file, with related environment variables, and
a new task intended to run before do_install task and which performs the
concatenation of the u-boot-nodtb.bin and the device tree blob. The 'cat'
command used overrides the u-boot.bin in both DEPLOYDIR & build dir to
propagate the changes in later tasks (do_install, do_package, etc.)

Dengke Du 9563869995 bash: fixed ptest run-builtins failed
1. redirect the stderr output of the command exec with -l option to
   /dev/null.
Because when we run command exec with -l option in builtins.tests,
it is a login shell, so it would read the file /etc/profile, that
file executes the /usr/bin/resize which added by commit:
	 cc6360f4c4d97e0000f9d3545f381224ee99ce7d
The /usr/bin/resize is produced by busybox that source code resize.c
   contains:
	fprintf(stderr, ESC"7" ESC"[r" ESC"[999;999H" ESC"[6n");
In the end, it outputs an escape sequence to the stderr, so when we
compare the test output file /tmp/xx with builtins.right, it failed.
we need to redirect the stderr output to the /dev/null to solve the
   problem.

2. ensure the target system contains the locales "en_US.UTF-8".
Because when run the run-builtins, it executes the source5.sub file
   that contain:
	LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8
such as add the following to the local.conf:
	IMAGE_LINGUAS_append = " en-us"

linux-firmware: break out bnx2 mips firmware and WHENCE license

Break out the bnx2 mips firmware into an independent subpackage.

Since the bnx2 firmware license is contained in the common WHENCE file
also package that separately so that other firmware that is licensed
within that file may depend upon a standalone package containing it.

Ruslan Bilovol 4e0d9d1b8f kernel-uimage: change target image to vmlinux
Commit e69525: "kernel: Build uImage only when really
needed" hardcoded target kernel image to zImage for
case if uImage is generated by OpenEmbedded buildsystem.

However not all kernel architectures support zImage
target, for example AArch64 doesn't, so building of
kernel is failing on this step.

So instead of building zImage target that may not
exist for many architectures, build vmlinux target
that exists for all architectures.

Since kernel-uboot.bbclass uses vmlinux anyway for
creating image, there is no side effect on this change.

Denys Dmytriyenko 5bfd397e16 sdk.py: preserve packaging data when SDKIMAGE_FEATURES has "package-management"
This is not enabled by default, as there are still limitations and possible
issues with opkg (and rpm?) packaging data containing broken symlinks for
local indexes:

http://cgit.openembedded.org/openembedded-core/commit/?id=c8e0ec2da9ad4ce1c103966906a85f68c15400dd

There are other use cases for the packaging data to be available in SDK,
since it provides comprehensive info about SDK's contents and in the case of
opkg and dpkg is all text-based and can be easily parsed by simple scripts.

Introduce new "package-management" flag for SDKIMAGE_FEATURES list (similar
to the one already used for IMAGE_FEATURES) that controls presence of the
packaging data in resulting SDK, while unifying this behavior across the
board for supported pkg managers - rpm, opkg, dpkg.

Paul Eggleton c219c6d582 buildtools-tarball: fix perl being included when building with ipk
Due to some logic within opkg, a package with the name matching a
dependency will always win over a package with that name in RPROVIDES -
even if there is an RCONFLICTS (which is silently ignored), higher feed
priority and version. The end result is that buildtools gets perl
installed instead of the nativesdk-buildtools-perl-dummy package and
that perl (with missing dependencies) gets used in preference to the
host one, which is precisely what we were trying to avoid.

This is almost certainly a bug in opkg, especially as the other
package's dependencies aren't properly installed under these
circumstances either. However, specifying RREPLACES works around this,
and with no apparent side-effects is probably the safest solution for
now.

At the same time I noticed that in prepending to SDK_PACKAGE_ARCHS we
were actually ending up with a low priority for the dummy package feed
rather than a high one, so change to append it instead. This has no
effect on the packages that get installed at the moment, but should be
done in case the package manager behaviour changes to factor in the feed
priority in future.

Paul Eggleton 8353557193 devtool: update-recipe: handle where SRC_URI is appended to with +=
If a recipe sets SRC_URI and then appends more items to it with +=
(such as the current rpm recipe in OE-Core), the code in
patch_recipe_file() was failing with a traceback. Work around the
problem for now by dropping the existing lines if we understand the
operation, else just set the value outright at the end. This leaves
something to be desired as it either doesn't respect the existing
structure or leaves a mess but it's better than the current
breakage.

We'll need to come up with a better solution later. Part of the problem
is the existing code structure doesn't allow for patch_recipe_file() to
know what's being added or removed - it only knows the final value that
the caller wants set.

Jussi Kukkonen cb45ef33fb matchbox-keyboard: Hide desktop launcher
Add patch that hides the keyboard desktop launcher, remove patch that
tries and fails to make the keyboard a single-instance application.

The desktop launcher of matchbox-keyboard is a source of far more
problems than solutions: As an example there's supposed to be only
one instance running at a time but we give the user several ways to
start multiple instances (and the Matchbox WM Single-Instance
implementation is broken by both design and implementation).

After this patch the only instance of matchbox-keyboard is the
daemonized one that can be shown/hidden with the panel applet (when
there is not hardware keyboard). If an additional matchbox-keyboard
needs to be started for debug reasons, it can still be done from
command line.

The distribution identifier is often used to create filenames, so it needs to be
safe to use as a filename. Whilst most distributions have e.g. Fedora or Debian

distribution name before returning it.

Joshua Lock f5033175ef toaster.bbclass: improve package information collection
The PACKAGES variable doesn't include all packages potentially
generated by a recipe, not least of all because it doesn't include
dynamic packages created via do_split_packages() or similar.

Instead of trying to guess which packages were generated, walk
${PKGDESTWORK}/runtime to find all package information that was
written to disk. This allows us to read all information for the
complete list of packages generated by the recipe.

For example before this patch we get SinglePackageInfo events for
9 packages from ncurses. With the patch applied we get 20 events
for all of the packages created during an ncurses build.

As a bonus we also switch to using the same postfuncs for both
do_packagedata and do_packagedata_setscene as they each result
in a PKGDESTWORK with the relevant directories and files
created.

Ross Burton 88f41780ca rsync: remove upstream's rebuild logic
Upstream some well intended but broken logic to reimplement the rebuild
functionality of automake. However this isn't out-of-tree safe and quite basic,
which means if it ever does execute (say, configure.ac or aclocal.m4 is touched)
then the build fails.

As we delete ${B} and re-run autoreconf on every build this is redundant, so
just delete it all.
