No-update reasons and manual version checks should be in the recipes
themselves because otherwise they're prone to getting out of date.

recipes never failed.

libffi is generally present as it's also a build dependency on glib-2.0, but
explicitly declare it for determinism.

Fixes [YOCTO #4497]
Usage of FILESPATH is discouraged, since it can make recipes harder to
bbappend. Instead FILESEXTRAPATHS should be used to extend the
path. Don't migrate paths that already exist in base FILESPATH to
FILESEXTRAPATHS.
