The ePOS EVM and EVM SK have QSPI as an option to boot. Add a qspiboot
target that utilizes QSPI for env and so forth as an example of best
practices. As QSPI is booted from directly we need to chang
CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE.
Note that on ePOS EVM the QSPI and NAND are mutually exclusive choices
we need to handle that elsewhere, once NAND support is also added.

Exception handling is basically identical for all ARM targets.
Factorize it out of the various start.S files and into a
single vectors.S file, and adjust linker scripts accordingly.

In the case of SPL or NOR_BOOT (no SPL involved) we need to include
certain code in the build. Use !CONFIG_SKIP_LOWLEVEL_INIT rather than
CONFIG_SPL_BUILD || CONFIG_NOR_BOOT to make the code clearer, and to
make supporting XIP QSPI boot clearer in the code.

Ethernet driver configures the CPSW, SGMI and Phy and uses
the the Navigator APIs. The driver supports 4 Ethernet ports and
can work with only one port at a time.

k2hk EVM is based on Texas Instruments Keystone2 Hawking/Kepler
SoC. Keystone2 SoC has ARM v7 Cortex-A15 MPCore processor. Please

We previously only supported QSPI_1 (single) support. Add QSPI_4 (quad)
read support as well. This means we can be given one of two boot device
values, but don't care which it is, so perform a fixup on the QSPI_4
value. We add a qspiboot build target to better show how you would use
QSPI as a boot device in deployment. When we boot from QSPI, we can
check the environment for 'boot_os' to control Falcon Mode.

We use the same variable as a3m071 in the environment to determine if we
should boot into Linux or U-Boot. This is useful on boards like
Beaglebone Black or AM335x GP EVM where we have persistent storage for
the environment.

the similar strategy used on OMAP5 and PandaBoard family.

TI platforms such as OMAP5uevm, PandaBoard, use equivalent
logic to generate fake USB MAC address from device unique DIE ID.
Consolidate this to a generic location such that other TI platforms such
as BeagleBoard-XM can also use the same.
NOTE: at this point in time, I dont yet see a need for a generic dummy
ethernet MAC address creation function, but if there is a need in the
future, this can be further abstracted out.

Some eMMC chips may need the RST_n_FUNCTION bit set to a non-zero value
in order for warm reset of the system to work. Details on this being
required will be part of the eMMC datasheet. Also add using this
command to the dra7xx README.

Updating EMIF_PHY_CTRL and adding EMIF_READ_WRITE_EXECUTION_THRESHOLD
registers.
In EMIF_PHY_CTRL:
Updating [4:0]READ_LATENCY to 8, because at higher frequencies like
400MHz the read latency expected will be CL+3 as per tests from HW
folks.
Clearing [19]PHY_DIS_CALIB_RST bit as this is used onl for debug
purpose. With out this resume is not working(Still waiting for PHY team
to come back for better explanation).

Schematic indicates GPIO5_7 is to be used for VTT regulator control
rather than GPIO0_21 so modify enable_vtt_regulator to reflect this.
Without this some boards will experience DDR3 corruption and fail to
boot.

Currently same value is programmed for all ioregs. This is not
the case for all SoC's like AM4372. So adding a structure for ioregs
and updating in all board files. And also return from config_cmd_ctrl()
and config_ddr_data() functions if data is not passed.

Updating the Multiplier and Dividers value for all DPLLs.
Safest OPP is read from DEV ATTRIBUTE register. Accoring to the value
returned the MPU DPLL is locked.
At different OPPs follwoing are the MPU locked frequencies.
OPP50 300MHz
OPP100 600MHz
OPP120 720MHz
OPPTB 800MHz
OPPNT 1000MHz
According to the latest DM following is the OPP table dependencies:
VDD_CORE VDD_MPU
OPP50 OPP50
OPP50 OPP100
OPP100 OPP50
OPP100 OPP100
OPP100 OPP120
So at different OPPs of MPU it is safest to lock CORE at OPP_NOM.
Following are the DPLL locking frequencies at OPP NOM:
Core locks at 1000MHz
Per locks at 960MHz
LPDDR2 locks at 266MHz
DDR3 locks at 400MHz
Touching AM33xx files also to get DPLL values specific to board but no
functionality difference.

Current LDS files /DISCARD/ a lot of sections when linking ELF
files, causing diagnostic tools such as readelf or objdump to
produce partial output. Keep all section at link stage, filter
only at objcopy time so that .bin remains minimal.

Based on the definitive guide to EMIF configuration[1] certain registers
that we have been modifying (and are documented registers) should be
left in their reset values rather than modified. This has been tested
on AM335x GP EVM and Beaglebone White.

GPMC controller is common IP to interface with both NAND and NOR flash devices.
Also, it supports max 8 chip-selects, which can be independently connected to
any of the devices.
But ROM code expects the boot-device to be connected to only chip-select[0].
Thus to resolve conflict between NOR and NAND boot. This patch:
- combines NOR and NAND configs spread in board files to common gpmc_init()
- configures GPMC based on boot-mode selected for SPL boot.

object files on the ARM branch vs KBuild introduction
on the main branch. Resolution consists in adjusting

Add the support for the dra7xx xhci usb host.
dra7xx does not contain an EHCI controller so the headers
can be removed from the board file.
The xHCI host on dra7xx is connected to a usb2 phy so need to
add support to enable those clocks.

Recent patches declares board_usb_init function prototype for a new
usb architecture.
Turning on the OMAP_XHCI defines cause a redefinition compiler failure.

In Errata 1.0.24, if the board is running at OPP50 and has a warm reset,
the boot ROM sets the frequencies for OPP100. This patch attempts to
drop the frequencies back to OPP50 as soon as possible in the SPL. Then
later the voltages and frequencies up set higher.

Add a am33xx_spl_board_init (and enable the PMICs) that we may see,
depending on the board we are running on. In all cases, we see if we
can rely on the efuse_sma register to tell us the maximum speed. In the
case of Beaglebone White, we need to make sure we are on AC power, and
are on later than rev A1, and then we can ramp up to the PG1.0 maximum
of 720Mhz. In the case of Beaglebone Black, we are either on PG2.0 that
supports 1GHz or PG2.1. As PG2.0 may or may not have efuse_sma set, we
cannot rely on this probe. In the case of the GP EVM, EVM SK and IDK we
need to rely on the efuse_sma if we are on PG2.1, and the defaults for
PG1.0/2.0.

We defined PHYS_DRAM_1 to 0x80000000 (start of DRAM) and then used this
for CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM_BASE. But then we kept on referencing PHYS_DRAM_1
in other places. Change to directly setting CONFIG_SYS_DRAM_BASE and
then using that name in code.

Locking sequence for all the dplls is same.
In the current code same sequence is done repeatedly
for each dpll. Instead have a generic function
for locking dplls and pass dpll data to that function.

NOR requires that s_init be within the first 4KiB of the image so that
we can perform the rest of the required pinmuxing to talk with the rest
of NOR that we are found on. When NOR_BOOT is set we save our
environment in NOR at 512KiB and a redundant copy at 768KiB. We avoid
using SPL for this case and u-boot.bin is written directly to the start
of NOR.
We enclose the DMM-related parts of arch/arm/cpu/armv7/am33xx/emif4.c
with TI81xx checks as at this time U-Boot does not discard unused
sections in the main build and this code relies on functions specific to
(and only provided in) ti81xx-related code.

We rework the various board_is_foo() checks to take a pointer to
struct am335x_baseboard_id rather than using a local copy in board.c.
This allows us to make use of the same checks in mux.c as well as fixing
problems when this code could be running from read-only memory.

There is no need for the "xMB" variant, as the gpio pins used for
identification where never changed from the xMA when the newer silcon
was used for the xMB, So rename XM A revision as AB revision

Detect if we are running on a panda revision A1-A6,
or an ES panda board. This can be done by reading
the level of GPIOs and checking the processor revisions.
This should result in:
Panda 4430:

GPIO171, GPIO101, GPIO182: 1 0 1 => A6
Panda ES:

The omap2420H4 was the only mainline omap24xx board. Prior to being
fixed by Jon Hunter in time for v2013.04 it had been functionally broken
for a very long time. Remove this board as there's not been interest in
it in U-Boot for quite a long time.

Jump into full u-boot mode if a 'c' character is received on the uart.
We need to adjust the spl bss/malloc area to not overlap with the
loadaddr of the kernel (sdram + 32k), so move it past u-boot instead.
For raw mmc, we store the kernel parameter area in the free space after
the MBR (if used). For nand, we use the last sector of the partition
reserved for u-boot.
This also enables the spl command in the full u-boot so the kernel
parameter area snapshot can be created.

We need to call the save_omap_boot_params function on am33xx/ti81xx and
other newer TI SoCs, so move the function to boot-common. Only OMAP4+
has the omap_hw_init_context function so add ifdefs to not call it on
am33xx/ti81xx. Call save_omap_boot_params from s_init on am33xx/ti81xx
boards.

In the current u-boot, the device pin multiplexing and clock
initialisation needs to be early during the boot process and before
board_init() is called. U-boot is currently crashing on this board
because this is not being done early enough. Therefore, add a s_init()
function for the omap5912-osk board to do this.
Also fix the stack pointer so that it is pointing to the end of the
internal RAM and not the beginning as this was also causing the device
to crash.

The omap5912-osk board is using a RAM based address as the linker
location for code. This is causing several problems when attempting
to run the latest u-boot code base on this board from flash. Update
the default linker location for code to be in NOR flash at address
0x00000000.
The omap5912-osk board only has 32MB of RAM and so fix the comment
in the omap5912-osk config.mk file as well.

The size of the DRAM for the omap5912-osk board is getting setup in the
dram_init() function. However, for the current u-boot release this is
too late and needs to be done in dram_init_banksize(). Therefore, add
a dram_init_banksize() function for the omap5912-osk board and setup the
DRAM size there.

The omap2420-h4 board is using a RAM based address as the linker
location for code. This is causing several problems when attempting
to run the latest u-boot code base on this board from flash. Update
the default linker location for code to be in NOR flash. Please note
that OMAP maps the NOR flash to address 0x08000000 by default and so
use this as the default address for the NOR flash.
Also remove legacy code that attempts to calculate where in flash the
sdata structure, that holds the memory interface configuration data,
is located. By changing the default linker location for code to flash
this is no longer necessary.

The AM33xx emif4/ddr support closely matches what is need to support
TI814x except that TI814x has two EMIF instances. Refactor all the
emif4 helper calls and the config_ddr() init function to use an
additional instance number argument.

Enable DDR PHY dynamic power down bit, which enables
powering down the IO receiver when not performing read.
This also helps in reducing overall power consumption in
low power states (suspend/standby).

Currently, omap3_dss_panel_config() sets gfx_format to a value that is hardcoded
in the code. This forces anyone who wants to use a different gfx_format to make
adjustments after calling omap3_dss_panel_config(). This could be avoided if the
value of gfx_format were parameterized as input for omap3_dss_panel_config().
Make gfx_format a field in struct panel_config, and update existing structs to
set this field to the value that was originally hard coded.

pull out YMODEM support in order to be a small enough target binary.

This adds necessary config options and a new build target,
am335x_evm_usbspl, to enable usb booting and fixes board_eth_init()
function to take into account that we may have USB ether support in SPL
now. This uses the same MAC for both cpsw and USB, in order to match
ROM behavior.
The usbspl build target does not contain UART SPL, CPSW SPL or extra
environment settings, so that we may fit within our binary size
constraint.

When ethaddr is not set in environment the MAC address is read
from efuse. The message was only printed in debug case, but this
message could be of interest for the ordinary user, so printf it.

Instead of passing individual registers by value to board_get_mem_timings,
pass a board_mem_timings structure pointer for the board files to fill in.
Pass same structure pointer to write_sdrc_timings. This saves about
90 bytes of space in SPL.
