A function should either return an ERR_PTR or NULL on failure, but not both.
Let get_phy_device() return an ERR_PTR and fix the return checks in mdiobus_scan
and phy_device_connect.

Image payload size should always be a multiple of 4 bytes. This fixes
mis-sized image payload by allocating payload buffer as multiple of 4
but load true filesize into the payload buffer.

Xmodem blocks should start with SOH but kwboot never sets the first
block byte. This fixes kwboot's Xmodem block initialization and sets
first block byte to SOH.

The current implementation of the bootloader specification depends on the
hardware name and the name of the device in /dev to match. As the default
hardware name is mciX and the device name is diskY the bootloader spec
cannot be used as is.
This patch implements a way to overwrite the device name similar to what is
possible for the imx-esdhc driver.

DOS MBRs might contain an extended partition that holds several logical
partitions. Add these to the partitions of the block device.

The code used to ineffectively take the end of the last partition as guess
for the disk size. Better use the end of the partition that has its end
rearmost.
Also return an unsigned type instead of int as the result is always
non-negative.

The use of the DDR driver as well as early I2C support is
enabled for board initialising their memory through SPD EEPROM
data.
A SOC specific function returning the DDR bus frequency
is added for the DDR driver to translate DDR timings to
register values.

Because the port count is different between the MPC8544 and
existing CPU support, the Ethernet port count is defined on
a per CPU basis.
Accordingly, the TBI PHY initialisation code is updated.

Definitions are added to support the mpc8544 sOC.
The function returning the I2C bus frequency is updated
to take into account the mpc8544 specific clock ratio.
A mininal GPIO API is added to enable and set the GPIO
out pins.

Add support for framebuffers with noncontiguous horizontal lines.
Video drivers can set this value if the hardware requires it.
In case a driver does not set it, the current value of
xres * (bpp / 8) is used instead.
