Sascha Hauer 1f6ec400f7 Revert "ARM: i.MX27 pcm038: switch to multi image"
This reverts commit 08c0e206b3.

The external NAND boot code currently uses the _text linker variable
to determine a place for the image. This doesn't work with multi image
support which will link the binary at 0x0. Revert multi image support
for the pcm038 for now until a solution is found.

Sascha Hauer 2078438662 Add multi images support
This adds the make infrastructure to build multiple SoC or
board specific images from a single barebox binary.

The basic idea is that we no longer have a single pbl, but instead
multiple pbls, one per image if necessary. Each pbl is defined
by its entry function so that each pbl can do exactly what a given
board needs. Additionally the pbls together with a self extracting
barebox binary can be encapsulated in specific image formats.

squashed in build fixes from Lucas Stach for make version >= 3.82:

Split Multimage Makefile rule in explicit and implicit parts

Fixes build with make version >=3.82

Frome the make 3.82 NEWS file:
* WARNING: Backward-incompatibility!
In previous versions of make it was acceptable to list one or more explicit
targets followed by one or more pattern targets in the same rule and it
worked "as expected". However, this was not documented as acceptable and if
you listed any explicit targets AFTER the pattern targets, the entire rule
would be mis-parsed. This release removes this ability completely: make
will generate an error message if you mix explicit and pattern targets in
  the same rule.

This adds a new function __barebox_arm_head() which defines an
the regular barebox ARM header, but which jumps to the end of
the function so that this can be embedded into another function.
barebox_arm_head() now just uses it and jumps to barebox_arm_reset_vector
just like it did before.

This makes it possible to define board specific entry points.

Antony Pavlov 15001b1f95 MIPS: pbl: add nmon MIPS nano-monitor
nmon is a tiny monitor (<1200 bytes) program
for the MIPS processors.
It can operate with NO working RAM at all!
It uses only the processor registers and NS16550-compatible
UART port for operation, so it can be used for a memory
controller setup code debugging.

With no changes nmon should work on different MIPS
processors as it uses only common MIPS-I instructions.

nmon is inspired by mmon, MIPS VR4300 Mini-monitor.

mmon is copyrighted 1996, 2003 by Eric Smith.
Also Alexander Voropay must be noted for his work
on qemu & YAMON mmon adaptations made in 2006 and 2007.

See http://www.brouhaha.com/~eric/software/mmon/
for mmon details.

The mmon's features missed in nmon:

 * batch memory dumps;
 * byte and 16-bit half-words dumps and stores;
 * fill memory;
 * load S-records (this function make sense only
 if RAM works properly).

nmon has only 4 commands:
 q - quit to barebox
 d <addr> - read 32-bit word from <addr> address
 w <addr> <val> - write 32-bit word <val> to <addr>
 g <addr> - jump to <addr>

Addresses and data must be given in hexadecimal.
Everything (including hex digits 'a'..'f') must
be in lower case.

EXAMPLE: change value of word with address 0xa0000000

nmon> d a0000000
00000000
nmon> w a0000000 12345678
nmon> d a0000000
12345678
nmon>

There is no error checking of any kind. If you
give an invalid address you will probably get
an exception which will hang the board and you
will have to press the reset button.

You can interrupt current command (e.g. you have
made error in input <addr> value) by pressing
the <ESC> key.

Sebastian Hesselbarth 0b79c3bb64 OF: base: sync of_find_node_by_path with linux OF API
Barebox of_find_node_by_path requires a node to be passed as start node
to start searching. Linux OF API does not pass this node and no current
user of it in barebox is passing anything else than the root node.
Therefore, we rename current function to of_find_node_by_path_from and
introduce a Linux OF API compatible of_find_node_by_path that always
passes the current root_node. Also, all current users of that function
are updated to reflect the API change.

Sascha Hauer 2307901376 ARM: i.MX51: PLL errata workaround
This is a port of the official PLL errata workaround from Freescale.
The PLL's in the i.MX51 processor can go out of lock due to a metastable
condition in an analog flip-flop when used at high frequencies.
This workaround implements an undocumented feature in the PLL (dither
mode), which causes the effect of this failure to be much lower (in terms
of frequency deviation), avoiding system failure, or at least decreasing
the likelihood of system failure.

This is based on U-Boot commit:

Juergen Beisert 114f4cebd5 MXS/i.MX23: add boot source detection
The boot source for the i.MX23 is configured via a few GPIOs, which are later
be used for different purposes (like LCD data for example). The SoC internal
ROM reads these GPIOs and uses the selected boot source.

For various reasons the boot source is also of interest when Barebox is running.
This detection approach reads again the GPIOs. It switches temporarily the pins
to act as GPIOs and input, reads their settings, and switches back to their
previous functions.

Enrico Scholz 465950ee64 ARM v7: added v7_mmu_cache_invalidate()
At least the iMX6 boot rom seems to jump into barebox with a non
invalidated d-cache which causes data corruption when
v7_mmu_cache_flush() executed by arm_early_mmu_cache_flush() overrides
stack or other valid data.

That's why the cache must be invalided for this processors explicitly
(e.g. in barebox_arm_reset_vector()). Operation differs from flush only
in one instruction so that patch modifies the existing

Nicolas Pitre 4586f9626b ARM: fix the memset fix
From Kernel commit 418df63a ARM: 7670/1: fix the memset fix

| Commit 455bd4c430b0 ("ARM: 7668/1: fix memset-related crashes caused by
| recent GCC (4.7.2) optimizations") attempted to fix a compliance issue
| with the memset return value. However the memset itself became broken
| by that patch for misaligned pointers.
|
| This fixes the above by branching over the entry code from the
| misaligned fixup code to avoid reloading the original pointer.
|
| Also, because the function entry alignment is wrong in the Thumb mode
| compilation, that fixup code is moved to the end.
|
| While at it, the entry instructions are slightly reworked to help dual

Enrico Scholz 19bc427e44 ARM v7: fix mmu-off operation
Although conclusions in 50d1b2de8e "ARM
v7: Fix register corruption in v7_mmu_cache_off" are correct, the
implemented fix is not complete because the following failure can
happen:

1. d-cache contains the cache line around 'sp'

2. v7_mmu_cache_off() disables cache

3. early v7_mmu_cache_flush() pushes 'lr' on uncached stack

4. v7_mmu_cache_flush() flushes d-cache and can override stack written
   by step 3.

5. v7_mmu_cache_flush() pops 'lr' out of cache and jumps to it which
   might be random data now.

Patch avoids step 3 which is easy because 'lr' is never modified by the
function. By using the 'r12' scratch register instead of 'r10', the
whole initial 'push' can be avoided.

Patch moves also the 'DMB' operation so that it is executed after data
has been pushed on stack.

Thomas Petazzoni 6bb3a08cd3 arm: integrate kwbimage in the image generation
When a ARCH_MVEBU platform is selected, generate barebox.kwb and
barebox.kwbuart images from barebox.bin, using kwbimage.

barebox.kwb is generated by executing kwbimage on the board
kwbimage.cfg file, and is therefore designed to be booted from the
default boot media of the board, as defined by kwbimage.cfg (typically
a NAND flash or SPI flash).

barebox.kwbuart is generated by executing kwbimage on the board
kwbimage.cfg file, but by overriding the boot media to be UART. This
image is suitable for usage with the kwbtool and is generally useful
for recovery purposes.

Squashed this fixup:

arm: ensure the build doesn't fail when kwbimage lacks the binary blob

mach-mvebu images for Armada 370 and Armada XP SoC require a DDR3
training code which should be extracted from existing bootable images
for the relevant board. When such binary blob has not been extracted,
the build of the .kwb and .kwbuart images will fail. This is annoying
as it makes the build of all Armada 370/XP defconfig fail, which can
be a problem for automated builds.

This proposal makes the failure of kwbimage not a fatal failure for
the build process, and shows a warning. The user therefore sees:

Lucas Stach 373909ce87 tegra20: add pinctrl driver
This adds a pinctrl driver for the Tegra 20 line of SoCs. It only
supports the three basic pinconfiguration settings function mux,
tristate control and pullup/down control.

The driver understands the same devicetree bindings as the Linux one,
unimplemented pinconfiguration options will be ignored.

Antony Pavlov 2d4cf6d95d MIPS: xburst: use common serial code
The Ingenic JZ4740, JZ4755 and JZ4770 SoCs use
the same IP core for UART interface. This IP core
is NS16550-compatible, but it needs small workaround.

This commit moves the UART code for Ingenic SoCs
from board level to machine level. So the code
can be reused for different boards or even
different SoCs.

This partly reverts:

Date: Tue Jan 22 15:08:31 2013 +0400

ARM: ccmx51: Remove SDRAM size settings

This patch removes SDRAM memory size setting from board due
to auto detect last one by ESDCTL.

    Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru>
    Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

The board originally configured the SDRAM controller for the
maximum size and detected the usable SDRAM size by reading the
board id. This became broken after switching to automatic SDRAM
size detection by reading back ESDCTL values.

This patch brings back the old behaviour.

Andreas Pretzsch 73c6c6da8a ARM i.MX31 pcm037: fix erroneous IOMUX GPR setup in pcm037_usb_init()
In commit ad09b59f8b "ARM i.MX31: give
register base addresses a proper MX31_ prefix", the IOMUX GPR setup
to enable USBH2 was replaced with an incorrect source register.
Instead of reading the GPR register, USBOTG HWHOST is used as rmw source,
which contains 0x10020001.
Beside the intended GPR[11] setup ("Enable USBH2 signals on AudioPort 3 and
AudioPort6"), this erroneously also sets
	GPR[28] enable USBOTG loopback
	GPR[17] override DSR_DCE1 with USBOTG_DATA4
GPR[0] select FIR DMA requests instead of UART2 DMA

Beside breaking UART2, it probably also broke some UART1 and USB OTG setups.
Fix this and replace the address with the appropriate defines.

Marc Kleine-Budde 8bafdc1c46 ARM i.MX28: make chip reset via reset pin work again
Since commit:

2ccd451 ARM i.MX28: change default watchdog reset method

the external reset via the reset pin is broken. That commit overwrites the
HW_CLKCTRL_RESET register with only WDOG_POR_DISABLE set, which results in
disabling the external reset.

This patch uses read-modify-write to set the WDOG_POR_DISABLE, leaving the
WDOG_POR_DISABLE untouched.
